November 29th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, will see a nifty monster triple bill at the Portage Theater in Chicago. For ten bucks attendees will see The Creature Walks Among Us (6:00), Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster (7:30) and Christopher Lee’s Horror of Dracula (9:20). Dealers will be selling crap in the lobby.
The guys running this are basically doing a show a month at the Portage, and trying to make a go of it. I urge any genre fans in the Chicago area to come out and support efforts like this. You certainly can’t complain about bang for your buck. Metered parking–free after 9:00–is available in a nearby city lot.

While the lineup is indeed cool, from your title I held out a momentary hope that they were screening the 1985 Alien-inspired Creature. Now THERE’S a movie that ‘s not getting a lot of attention on the revival circuit!

…Is it just from where I’m surfing, or has jabootu.net been PLACEHOLDER’D!?
Or maybe Ken’s developed a sudden interest in real estate. Though I’d be hard pressed to think of a worse time to do so…

There is much behind-the-scenes discussion of the problem. Rest assured, we’re… mostly sitting on our thumbs making helpful noises.
