So, which of these three films of the same title will I be reviewing—
(A) An Oscar-bait drama about race relations in Los Angles?
(B) A controversy-bait drama about literal autoerotica?
or
(C) A low-budget, Hal Needham-esque, The-Exorcist-meets-The-Amazing-Dobermans horror film about a possessed key-ring?
.
Pretty obvious when I put it like that, huh?
.
.
.
…in which Charles Band takes his very first baby steps towards a killer doll film…
.
Liz Kingsley is the insane genius behind And You Call Yourself a Scientist!

I like the banner, but is the 1980s The Changeling really the lesser-known of the two? Hell, I forgot that newer one was a thing. Maybe this is just a bias based on what I watch and who I hang around, though.
And here I thought I’d seen all the movies named Crash. This sounds like it might be kind of fun, although I can’t say it’s getting moved straight to the top of The List or anything. Just something to keep in mind for the future, or if I happen to stumble upon it. I am rather astonished at how Band decided to pad things out, though.

I think that might be the case, somehow. 🙂
This film is like the 12 minutes of The Thing With Two Heads that I complained about, stretched out to 80 minutes. If you can deal with that, it’s sufficiently dumb fun.

I laughed harder and harder the longer that scene in TTWTH went on, because I just couldn’t believe it. I think 80 minutes of that could be tiring, though, as I was just about at the limits of my amusement at the 11th minute or so. Still, as we say around here, “Meh…I’m sure I’ve seen worse.”
Like the movie I watched Saturday night? I’m sure it’s worse.
Considering my unfamiliarity with killer car movies, I sense there could be another binge in my near future. Although I still have one last Krampus movie I really must get to first.

We did the killer car binge for Hallowversary this year, although I’d never heard of this one, or I’d have included it. Although I knew one of my newer friends was in the right place when he walked, looked at the screen and exclaimed, “The Car!” “I love this movie!” while his long-suffering spouse rolled her eyes behind him.

I find myself a little surprised that Lyz didn’t coo at it, honestly.
