…and immediately signing up for the next race.
2017 was not one of our more productive years, to put put it mildly; a larger than usual serving of mea culpas seems in order.
But as always, a new year brings new hope.
Many thanks to our visitors and commentators We very much appreciate your continued support (and patience).
Best wishes to all for 2018!

Happy New Year!!! How are things over there in 2018?
(Really hoping for a better year, myself.)

No major disasters within the first 12 hours, but I’m not letting my guard down just yet…

I recall hoping for better in 2017 than I got in 2016; sadly, that didn’t come to pass. I don’t see things improving much in 2018, either.
Just call me the New Year’s Humbug, I guess.
I will still wish all of you a good new year, and hope you get it.

Yeah, as bad as 2016 was, it turned out to be just a curtain-raiser for 2017. Hey, if we’re really headed for the dystopian robot apocalypse, at least we all know what to expect, right?
All the best to you, Rev. May you have a much better 2018. May we all.

Remind me to buy you a beverage of your choice the next time you make it down to Texas, Will.
I thank you very kindly for your words, and return your sentiments wholeheartedly.
May we all, indeed.

I have a feeling that 2018 is going to be the climax and that 2019 will be much better. As the ancient Chinese curse says: “May you live in interesting times.”
Still, I spent New Year’s day watching Christopher Nolan’s “Dunkirk” and Ken Burns’ “Vietnam War” reminding me that people in the past have had it way worse than we do.
Happy New Year all!

This site (and therefore, all y’all’s individual sites) has been a regular destination for me for years. I’m glad you’ve managed to stay in the game and I look forward to many vistis in the future.

This long-time follower wonders if there’s ever been any attempts to get new reviewers to join the Cabal. I’ve seen a few depart (or just stop posting new material), but I don’t recall ever seeing a new one welcomed.
And if any Cabal member is likely to have their mind uploaded to a computer so they could continue to write (and eventually catch up with their backlog) it would be Lyz – but we can’t count on it for the others.
