AMITYVILLE DEATH HOUSE (2015)
…in which it seems that even the name guest-star would rather be watching a different film…
But, hey! – eye-windows!
[NB: NSFW: a little blood, and some very silly nudity.]
I have also transferred over:
– Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde (1931)
– The Lodger (1927)
– The Lodger (1932)

Lyz, I know you think you are now officially all caught up with the AMITYVILLES, but I assure you the horror is still out there
There is another sequel in all but name:
GRAVE SECRETS (with Patty Duke and David Soul – no, I’m not kidding!)

I’m not sure why you think she thinks she’s caught up, when she specifically mentions an Amityville film she hasn’t seen in the review (I quote: “It’s evidently Yolie Canales under the makeup. I think it may be her au naturel in our brief glimpse of Abigail, too, but I’m not sure because I haven’t see her other films, Sharkenstein and The Amityville Exorcism…yet.”). Poor Lyz, cursed to keep watching and reviewing endless sequels, each worse than the last… it’s the true Amityville horror.

Alas, ’tis true! – six more to go at the moment, and one more on the way. (Although it sounds like the latter may be a docu-drama, which may or may not let me off the hook.)
I can assure you, I would *much* rather be watching a TV movie with “genre veteran Patty Duke” and David Soul…
…but for my sins, I’ll just have to keep plugging away… Thanks for continuing to read! 🙂

It’s like the Hydra- get one film reviewed, two more will take its place.

It is EXACTLY like that.
It’s hard not to feel personally persecuted…

Oh lord, it’s a Polonia movie? I already feel sorry for you, my dear.
I thought we were going to have another of our eerie coincidences. The day before you posted this, I found an Amityville movie that you hadn’t covered yet, and thought I could actually beat you to the punch. Then this review came up. However, this isn’t the one I found. Looking at the dates, though, I’m guessing it may be next on your list. Anyway, no weird coincidence, and I’m going to watch this one after I read your review.
I’m confident I will in no way regret my decisions.
Well, maybe one of them.

It’s pointless and stupid, but not actively torturous like Playhouse and Haunting. (And so we reach new heights / depths in damning with faint praise…)
And I *wish* I was due to watch what you’re watching… 😀

My impression from your review is that, as idiotic as this movie was, at least it wasn’t boring.

Not all of it, but it does drag in between the more lively bits.

OT: Do you have any idea when you’re going to pull your review of The Thing from Another World out of limbo?

In a word, no. 🙂
There’s no pattern to what gets transferred over: either I get a ‘ping’ about something, or an existing review is connected to a new one, or I just feel the need to get something down and pick one alphabetically or chronologically.
At the moment TTFAW isn’t on my radar but then again it could pop up at any moment…

For the roundtable, has anyone picked “The Belko Experiment”? It’s an interesting take on “The most dangerous game”.

Santo has already reviewed that, I think? It didn’t come up in preliminary discussions, but that doesn’t rule it out.

I don’t know if I’m allowed to post links, but you are correct re: Santo reviewing it.
