Death Smiles at Murder (1971)
Before I get to the current roundtable, there’s the little matter of the last one I haven’t attended to yet (Yes, yes, I know; that was last year. Shut up).
So here’s an odd, arty little film whose undead creature is as unpredictable as it is.

Dear boy, I haven’t read a word. The unexpected pleasure of your company is enough to bring on the vapours.
.
(And now I see I’m not supposed to read a word…)

I guess warning people not to read the review in the very first sentence wasn’t the best way to announce my return. Oh well… that’s the kind of gesture this movie inspires.

Okay, now I’ve got to the eyeball scene… GOOD LORD!! 🙂
(The fact that we never really do find out who or what these people are makes this a great choice for MOTALD.)

Having finished reading the review, I really wish I could find this film here.

As of this past weekend, I was able to read my only unread Braineater review after finding this movie. I’m glad I didn’t spoil it; good stuff!
So let’s see…I still have the Jess Franco pieces at Braindrops, and a mess of stuff at Teleport City…but I think that’s about it as far as the Cabal, barring the odd missed review at some of the higher-volume sites (like Bad Movies and The Unknown Movies) that I’m sure I’ll go through at some point and rectify.
Wow, that is a lot of movie reviews…granted, I’ve had…good lord, 15-16 years to read them!? Was I really that young when I stumbled on StompTokyo all those years ago!?
I do believe I’m having an existential crisis. Be back later, chums.
