Time for another B-Masters Cabal roundtable! This time, we delve into the relatively little-explored world of counterculture exploitation– movies about hippies, bikers, beatniks, punk rockers, neo-pagans, and anybody else in youthful rebellion against whatever you’ve got… to say nothing of the squares and finger-waggers trying to put them down! We’ll be turning on, tuning in, shooting up, and rocking out all throughout the month of May.

I find myself curious as to what will be coming about on this Roundtable. Especially from Ms. Kingsley and Mr. Begg; the former because of her site’s focus; the latter because it seems he’s covered quite a few of these as it is…and how many more truly bad movies of that type are there out there? (I can imagine the B-Masters snickering and calling me “naive” now…)
(And also wondering if Dr. Freex will be throwing down on this one; it would definitely seem to suit him.)
I can guess at a couple for Jabootu, but I have to admit I’m stumped on what Ms. Kingsley’s got cookin’. I wonder if one of them’ll be covering Gas-s-s-s-s-s!.

I’m curious too. And I do hope somebody will be reviewing one of John Waters’ early works, since they are, as he described them himself, “anti-hippie movies made for hippies.”

Just tell me someone will do The Losers, Wild in the Streets and/or Psych-Out, and you’ll leave me feeling groovy, man 🙂
