I mayself have wondered about why people choose certain jobs. Why would anyone choose the be the person who picks up bodies to be delivered to the morgue ? Some of them , murder victims say, would be pretty ripe by the time they are discovered. Why would any woman apply to become a guard in a men’s penitentiary ? I once asked a gastroeterologist why she had chosen that particular medical specialty, since it meant she spent her days looking up peoples’ butts. She said “I get to see things no one else does.” 😉
