The second half of my ‘future’ project dovetails into the first, in that it likewise finds me trying to break out of my US / UK reviewing stranglehold.

Oh, yes: it is true that I occasionally visit Germany and Japan (no ghost-cats, though; what the hell!?); and that I used to drop in on Italy, and China, and France, and Mexico.

Not often enough, though; and not recently. And there are places I’ve never visited, like India.

After all—it’s a great big cinematic world out there…

WAKE IN FRIGHT (1971)

The comedy Frozen Assets doesn’t just have a bad premise, it takes that bad premise and sinks it to historic cinematic lows.

There are more than a few shivers with Wind Chill, a non-graphic yet effective horror thriller.

While the poster for The Devil’s 8 says you will love or hate the movie’s eight characters, I’d bet my life’s savings that you’ll choose the latter option.

The youth-oriented comedy Wild In The Streets actually makes the politics of today look tasteful and appealing in comparison.

Despite having a notable cast, Relative Strangers went straight to video, and there’s a good reason for that.

While Hitch-Hike delivers with its thrills and suspense, there is also a lot going on deep in its script that is equally entertaining and interesting.

Produced by Mel Brooks, The Vagrant tries to both be a comedy and a thriller, but succeeds at neither.
