Hey, me again. Getting tired of me monopolizing the B-Masters blog? Shucks, I’m not the one to complain to, you know what I mean?
Anyway, here’s an extra review as part of a roundtable of SciFi Originals organized by Tomb of Anubis.
Presenting… Mammoth (2006)!

I really need to get out and watch more of these Sci-fi originals. I think Dinocroc was the last one I saw.

Nice job, Nathan. A zombie ninja slasher mammoth, sounds like something I’d think of at three in the morning and then se4nsibly reject the next day.
Blake: Actually, Dinocroc is a Roger Corman production rather than a Sci-Fi Original though granted the two are pretty much the same thing.

I think it still qualifies, Ed; Corman made it to order for the network (as opposed to them picking it up after completion), so it conforms to their editorial and structural edicts.

It breaks my heart how few of these things ever make it here. No, really, it does.

Your heart or your copy of Mammoth?

Fair enough, Nathan. Either way, it’s not a bad little B-movie. You really have to give credit to a film willing to off a kid the way this one does. Damn!

I never managed to catch this one. I remember not being in a rush to see it after the Foywonder got done with it, but hell, I watched Raptor Island, Kraken: Tentacles of the Deep, and Beyond Loch Ness, and I can’t imagine it’s any worse than them…

I watched five minutes of Raptor Island and turned it off in disgust…and I love dinosaurs. I want to see those mythological monster-themed ones (Cerebrus[sp.] and Minotaur).

Lyz, my heart belongs to another, but you can have my Mammoth. (Boy, does THAT sound dirty.)

The first half of that is so beautifully put, I can forgive the infelicity of the second half.
I would very much like your *copy* of Mammoth, if you seriously don’t want it any more.

On the subject of roundtables, when are you going to put up the link to the Weird Westerns Roundtable?

I have not forgotten. (Which, I realize, doesn’t answer your question.)
