Paella. “Paella western”, I believe. And jeez, Nathan [pant, pant, pant], you could give a girl a little warning, you know?

I’m sorry, but I have to say it – all through the Lepus review I was thinking of how scary the film would be for Anya from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Anytime anyone brings up Lepus, I can’t help but end up in a pleasent place by thinking about the Rabbit from Monty Python and The Holy Grail. Now that was a killer bunny to strike fear into our hearts. I nearly died the first time I saw the movie.

Lepus suffers horribly from the upgrade to DVD. On a crappy quality, P&S print, which is how I saw that film for years and years, you can kind of pretend you’re dealing with TERRIFYING KILLER RABBITS!!!!….but clean up the frame and, aww, bunny!

Most of the Spaghetti Westerns were filmed in Spain no? In Almeria? Just to confuse people.

Spain has lots of flat, arid scrubland. Most of Italy is way too mountainous to be even slightly convincing as the American Southwest.

True, but judging by that picture of the Shat up there they weren’t too bothered about the whole ‘verisimilitude’ thing. He looks like me when I was eight, dressed up for a birthday party.

Careful, Matt — say things like that, and you’re likely to get Lyz all hot over you.

Note to self: insert “Utah” joke in next review.
