"Avast!" "Belay!" And something about a poop deck.

Four years after Disney’s version of Treasure Island, a canny production company rehired director Byron Haskin and star Robert “Long John” Newton for a sequel, Long John Silver (1954). The movie’s not great, but you have to admire the chutzpah.

I guess they called him “Long John” for the size of his… aspect ratio.

Gee, I can’t wait to watch this movie on my cellphone!

And that’s after I corrected it a bit — the VCI Entertainment disc has it stretched even more.
