This was the film that almost broke the audience’s back at B-Fest 2010, and nearly got me lynched in the process. Lady Gaga’s android army returns in this Italian space opera that is desperately in need of an editor. Every scene, and I do mean every scene, lasts five times longer than it should. The climatic final battle takes almost half an hour. You will probably be wishing it would end after five minutes – six minutes tops.
Something to watch for:
32 mins – When I was a child I had a toy ray gun. It was more convincing than those.

The ending to this movie sounds like an awesome prank to pull on an unsuspecting group of friends.

Skaneatles: Awesome until they turn on you. And they will. Suffice it to say that Andrew is spot on about the reaction this movie got at B-Fest, where in an act of what can only be called audience cruelty, it was aired second-to-last (!) as the festival was winding down. I made it through, but barely. On the flip side, it made watching “The Giant Claw” a lot more enjoyable — and let’s face it, that’s already fun.

Mr. Rational, I once told my friends about this “awesome movie” they just had to watch, and then dropped Monster a-Go Go on them. I have no regards for my own safety if it means springing a terrible movie on people.

I thought that my time had finally come at B-Fest when I was taunting the audience during the final battle (they were really ready for this film to end). Actually prepared to sell my life dearly when the time came and they rushed me.

So that was YOU, Andrew! I know you can’t see my hat, but trust me — it’s off.
Skaneatles: Then this is a good one. I once did that to some people with “Cosmos: War of the Planets,” which is in a similar vein and from a similar origin as “War of the Robots.” (I think I even noticed some shots in common.) It drove one of my friends, a teetotaler, to have four beers.
