Even if Bill Rebane’s The Capture of Bigfoot (1979) were stellar in all other respects — top-notch cast, sparkling cinematography, a superlative script — I would still hold against him the fact that he made Bigfoot’s pelt white. That’s all hypothetical, though.
(P.S. The Golden Age of Crap is now available for Kindle!)

Good stuff, Nathan.
To think, if only Bill Rebane had a better sense of humor he could have explained the white fur thing away by adding a bit of dialogue concerning “Albino Bigfoots”.
On a more general note, I’d like to compliment you on the VHS covers that you line your reviews with. As a fan of cheesy movies and packaging designs/advertising materials from said movies I really dig that addition.

Thank you. I’m a compulsive image-hoarder; right now I’ve got 38,000 unsorted movie images sitting in a directory.

2 Bill Rebane movies at the site? That can’t be good for your health.

Do you realize that between your two reviews, my two reviews (Invasion from Inner Earth and The Giant Spider Invasion), and Ken’s review (Monster a Go-Go, begun by Rebane and completed by Herschell Gordon Lewis), we’ve got fully 50% of the Bill Rebane catalog covered? Kind of makes me want to get cracking on those other two Rebane movies I’m sitting on, just to bring us that much closer to completing the set.

I’ve been thinking of doing Rana, just because it features the least-justified use of Swan Lake since the Universal films of the 30’s. I’m tempted to push Demons of Ludlow and Alpha Incident up my way-too-long list, just to help get them covered… but the trouble is, I feel like I’d want to double-bill them with Devonsville Terror and Pyun’s Invasion respectively, and life just feels too damned short at the moment.
