With the world almost a year closer to the end of the world, I thought it would be appropriate to review Years Of The Beast, an end of the world movie that has those familiar trademarks found in most movies made by Christian filmmakers.

I think it’s worth mentioning that belief in the Rapture and Tribulation is only a small minority in Christian belief, though in the US it’s hard to tell sometimes. If you’re interested in learning more about the social phenomenon, I’d highly recommend the slacktivist/slacktiverse community; they’d be able to answer many of your questions (such as, the Bible doesn’t say anything about this stuff, it’s specific “interpreters” of the Bible who’ve invented most of it).
One of the classic problems with this sort of film is that, even when you get a group prepared to throw real money at it, most of the competent filmmakers aren’t interested. And even if they are, having the right faith is often regarded as more important than filmmaking skills.
