Seriously.
I mean, tributes are nice, but I’d prefer less occasion for them.
.
I’m not going to tempt fate by expressing any certainty over 2017; I’ll merely wish for a much better and kinder year for all.
Likewise, no optimistically extravagant promises for the coming twelve months, just a hope that things will be easier and more productive. Thank you to our visitors for your support and input, it is greatly appreciated.

Thank you, O Dweller in the (Very Near) Future, for once again ushering in the new year for those of us living hours in your past. It’s been a very difficult year for many of us- to top it off, after everything else, one of my cats died yesterday (she had been diagnosed with stomach cancer several weeks ago, and, despite her valiant attempts to live her normal life, it had become obvious that it was time to say goodbye yesterday- she was only 9 years old), and, frankly, I’m worried about the coming year, but a little ceremonial rebirth should be good for all of us. I wish you, the other B-Masters, and anyone else who reads this a happy new year.

Oh, Alaric, I’m so sorry!
It’s been a shocking year in so many ways. I keep beginning to remark that surely things have to get better, before realising I should just shut my big mouth… But we can hope! Thank you for the good wishes. 🙂

As always, a Happy New Year to all of you wonderful people here. I hope this year is better by a fair margin for all and sundry.
I won’t be holding my breath, though.
And seriously, fuck 2016.

I hope I can be better at posting here than I have been the last two or three years. But I still visit this place daily, you can be sure of that.

Oh come on….
Leicester City won the Premier League.
The Olympics were pretty good.
The Cubs won the World Series
Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize for Literature.
That’s got to be good for something, right?
