I remember seeing this in the video store at 16, and being so impatient to be old enough to rent it, as it basically had a proto-NC17 sticker on it. (Hilariously, so did their copy of Robot Holocaust.) Unlike a lot of my experiences with video covers that really caught my attention, this one was a delightful surprise. A number of jokes and gore effects are still in my memory, particularly the punchline you mentioned, which tickled me to no end. I must admit I’m drawing a blank on the gag that showed up on “The Simpsons,” but I think that’s a perfect excuse for me to rewatch this, as it’s been quite a few years since I last saw it.
