I just saw a movie called Blood Salvage that I thought would make a good double-bill with this. I feel safe in saying Motel Hell was a heavy inspiration on it, as it has a very similar through-line with some near-identical story beats. MH is more entertaining overall, largely because Rory Calhoun in there to carry along the slower bits, but BS is still pretty fun.
