Pardon my excitement: I just found out that four – count ’em, four – Bruce Li films have just been released here! – although for some reason, this was the one that leapt out at me….
Sweet!!

New reviews at 1000 Misspent Hours and Counting:
Amphibian Man (1961), in which we learn that Russians are gringos, too…
The Heavens Call (1959), in which we have a look at the space race of the 50’s and 60’s from the other side…
Life Returns (1934), in which we see the lengths to which some people will go in order to make a buck on a few minutes of unusual documentary footage…
and
The Mechanical Man (1921), in which the Italians get an early start on flying their freak flags.
…with the old Thumb-Buster of Terror. This is the one where a sleazy male has illicit sex with one or more women and pays a horrible price. It’s time to go to the tape and get the facts about one particularly bad Videodate.
Happy Diwali everyone! And what better way to celebrate than with…
KATILON KE KAATIL (1981)
Having recently been enlightened as to the existence of a Bollywood ninja movie, you go to your little website forum and theorize that, given the popularity of kungfu films in India and the proliferation of Bruce Lee imitators and crappy “Bruceploitation” films during the 1970s, there was no way Bollywood didn’t produce at least one film cashing in on the death and popularity of Bruce Lee. After proffering this notion, however, subsequent searches for Indian Bruce Lee exploitation films yield no results. This does not sway you from your belief, of course, and given how poor the quality and variety of coverage for Indian cult films is, it hardly surprises you. But it does cause you to put your search for such a film on the back burner. And then, one day you are emailing back and forth at work with your friend Beth about Mithun Chakraborty’s film Dance Dance. You search for, find, and play a clip from the film on YouTube, and then, out of the corner of your eye after the clip has finished and YouTube is displaying those “if you liked this, check this one out” recommendations, you see something titled “Dharmendra vs Bruce Li.”
But wait! There’s more!!!
Turkish Star Wars 2 (Dunyayi Kurtaran Adam’in Oglu)
That’s right! Cuneyt Arkin returns in a sequel to the movie that made him a cult superstar in America. Unfortunately, this time around, the movie is an intentional slapstick comedy, and pretty much everything folks loved about the original Turkish Star Wars…well, not so much, this time around.

Well, minor Hoopla….

A few more mini-reviews in Et Al.: Ride Lonesome (1959), Commandos Strike At Dawn (1942), The New Adventures Of Tarzan (1935) (serial), Rome Express (1932) and King Of The Damned (1935).
I cannot say that Delta Delta Die! (2003) is the worst “cannibalism with sorority cheesecake” movie out there, because I know that there’s ALWAYS something worse, and I have no desire to accumulate the experience necessary to defend such a statement. But it ain’t good.
The final Month of the Living Dead reviews (from me, anyway):
The Astro-Zombies (1968) — Because Lord knows, what the world needs is TWO new reviews of this movie in a single week.
Zombie Bloodbath (1993) — Well, there are zombies, and there are bloodbaths. If you’re looking for anything more at all, you’ll be disappointed.
(I shall now collapse. Please do not resuscitate or reanimate.)

Dawn of the Living Dead (2004)
OK: Look at the title. Just… look at it.
Eurrgh. This is the sort of project that fully deserves the LOLZombie treatment.
