John Malkovich and Ann Magnuson star in Making Mr. Right, a very pleasant comedy that proposes that the best man for a woman may not always be made of flesh and blood.

I remember seeing this movie when I was a kid. Maybe ten-years-old. I loved it, but then I loved a lot of things when I was ten, like Masters of the Universe and Howard the Duck.

Elizabeth, me too! As a (then, sigh) young woman, who was just stepping out into the Land of Grown Ups, I enjoyed the idea that a woman can find what she wants even if it’s not what society dictates.
I also loved the opening scene of Frankie driving to work and performing her entire morning routine during her route–coffee, breakfast, hair, makeup. Dangerous driving didn’t start with texting.
