The drama Streets is interesting for being a somewhat more serious than usual production for Roger Corman. But don’t worry – he made Christina Applegate almost get naked in one scene.

There’s a Brazilian film called Dois Perdidos Numa Noite Suja ( Two Lost People on a Dirty Night) that has a tomboy Brazilian immigrant passing for a teenage male prostitute on the streets of New York. She only gives blow jobs to her clients, although one client tries sodomize her after discovering that he’s a she. I’m guessing that Applegate’s character isn’t completely without some precedent.

The makers of Streetwise have a kickstarter to fund a sequel, focusing on Tiny, the main focus of the original documentary:

Corman does seem to like a bit of social justice with his exploitation. See The Student Nurses for another example.
